Athletics

Betas are very active in varsity sports at Wabash and often lead as team captains.

The Pete Vaughn Award was established in 1948 in honor of Robert E. (Pete) Vaughan, thirty-one year coach and director of athletics at Wabash College. The recipient, elected by the Wabash coaching staff and presented by the current director of athletics at the College, is deemed the outstanding athlete of the year at Wabash College.

The IAWM Scholar-Athlete Award was established to honor the senior who has best demonstrated the combination of scholastic achievement and athletic ability.

Campus Involvement

Betas are active in almost every club on campus and have started countless clubs, initiatives, and community service projects both on and off campus. Betas often lead others to follow in their pursuit of excellence and have a history of leading major student organizations.

The Student Government of Wabash College consists of a President, Vice President, other officers, and a legislative body. Betas who have served as President and Vice President were elected by their peers in an annual election open to the entire student body.

The Sphinx Club is one of the oldest selective student honorary societies at Wabash College.  Membership is limited to juniors and seniors and students are elected by their peers based on academics and campus involvement.  The following Betas have served as president of the honorary:
